Until the automated system is full operational, I think someone just needs to go ahead and start a new corpse starter slice, 450x200px.

All it takes is one person to do a slice....

Things have been rather busy/hectic/stressful at my end so I haven't had the wherewithal to get anything going, myself.

Well, it's no fun doing the first slice! ;) People seem to come back here every now and then, see that there are no corpses to work on, and then disappear again. I could start one but I'm not entirely certain about how things are supposed to work now that the automated system seems to have been put in place (to some degree, or is it fully operational?). Can anyone start a corpse at any time just by PMing a starter slice to the Mortician, or does the Mortician need to set up a corpse number first? I seem to remember reading that you have to specify which corpse you're posting a slice to in the PM, but how does that work if it is a new one? Also, has anyone thought about using the in-board e-mail system to remind all of our members that we're still here? I'll happily start several corpses at once if there are going to be people around to work on them.

I read about the automated system but as mentioned by kodgetts there are certain thing still a bit unclear.

YES, We are actively corpsing now!!

I apologize for not being more engaged in answering your questions here. We are now working with a 'manually automated' system so I am still using the M-prefix since this is the first time I've stitched corpses and I want to see what the workload will be like as I add more. Kodgetts, I got your section and sent the slice to the next player. Please let The Mortician start new corpses though, we're playing by official rules now.

There are currently four corpses in the queue but I have been sending them to people that have not played in a while so I understand why you all have ants in your pants. We also have slices that have been stuck in the queue for a long time so I am slowly hacking away at that too. Your turn is coming soon!! Please be patient.

I do have plans to send a mass email to all members after I have had time to test a few rounds of corpsing with the new system. In the meantime it's up to you!! The exquisite community needs to have more to do here than just wait around for their turn. Hang out and find other exquisite things to do. Maybe play some Pong or do an unofficial corpse like the Nautilus, Accordion and others. Have Fun!!

There are people playing.
Probably about a dozen or more!

I just added a fifth corpse to the lineup and expect to have another ready for viewing very soon!

On several occasions I've tried to untangle the mystery of missing corpses and odd happenings in the archive so today I did some morgue cleaning and finally added the remaining corpses to the slideshow on the gallery page. I also found a corpse (#0047) that was not properly chilled.

Well that's good to know. There just didn't seem to be anyone on the forums showing any interest, so I assumed nothing was happening. Thanks for the update!
